Term 1 Expectations reports

Term 1 Expectations Reports will be emailed to all parents/guardians and students next Thursday 11 April. After a review of these reports in 2018, we have moved to a model where we will be reporting on eight (8) core learning expectations rather than 16.

Based on the feedback, some of the previous expectations were a little repetitive and we now feel that the eight chosen will provide a better snapshot of how students are progressing with their learning and learning behaviours to help parents, students and teachers develop clearer learning goals for all students.

Another change is that we have moved from a two point scale to a three point scale to help communicate where students are at. A brief summary is provided below. This will now be communicated using a bar graph rather than dots.

K-2 Expectations Reports Scale

3 - Meeting Expectations

2 - Working Towards

1 - Area of Focus

7-10 Expectations Reports Scale

3 - Meeting Expectations

2 - Working Towards

1 - Area for Concern

Please remember that each year students are working toward the achievement standards for the year level which they are in so the report reflects how they are going at this point in time with those standards.

Further information will be provided with the reports next week. I encourage all students and parents to look closely at the reports and to talk about what next steps they need to take to improve or sustain where they are at.
