Season finishes for DOSA Football

For the first time in many years there are no DOSA teams in Old Scholar Grand Finals in 2020, as both seniors and reserves DOSA Football teams were beaten by their opponents in last Saturday's preliminary finals.

In the seniors, OHA won by 6 points 11 14 80 to 11 8 74 and will play Hutchins in the grand final on 3 October at North Hobart. The game was razor close all day with less than two goals difference at each change, but DOSA ran out of time to bridge the gap.

Justin O'Brien kicked three goals and youngsters Harry Loveless, Damo Curtain and Liam Wakefield were amongst the best on ground.

The reserves were beaten by University 10 14 74 to 7 4 46 who will play Hutchins in the grand final. The reserves had some strong performances but were inconsistent throughout the game, despite very good games from Cam Golding, Aaron Davey, Brendan Morley and Brendan Loveless.

Commiserations to the players on a very strange COVID-affected season, started late and short with serious disruptions to training and playing. Injuries were of course crucial, as they are each season, but we wish the team well for 2021 and will celebrate at the DOSA B&F on Friday 30 October.
