Last Sunday, Archbishop Julian Porteous presided over the sacramental ceremony of Confirmation for a group of É«ÇéÖ±²¥ students at St John’s parish.
As our students received the sacrament, they opened themselves to receive God’s blessings and make a commitment to be faithful to God.
In the Catholic tradition, the sacraments are both signs and instruments of God’s grace in our lives. During Confirmation, our students, their families and parish community prayed that each child will be filled with the Holy Spirit. Our Church teaches that the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit are:
