Musical Theatre classes after school

É«ÇéÖ±²¥ is very proud to offer a performance-based Musical Theatre class, starting in Term 2, run by Mr Brett Budgeon, our distinguished vocal tutor.

The class will combine the elements of singing, acting and movement to develop and nurture creative communication skills in young people. There will be several performance opportunities for the students throughout the year.

Brett is our vocal tutor at Dominic and his professional experience is extensive. Brett has been teaching singing for nearly 20 years and is currently the Co-Head of Classical Voice at The Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music. He is a prolific performer both here in Tasmania and internationally.

Brett has attended three of Australia’s elite music schools and was a scholarship recipient at The University of Melbourne. He also holds qualifications from London’s Trinity College and regularly travels to Los Angeles and links in with music industry and educational leaders on vocal and music projects.

Brett’s performance career continues to grow. He played The Phantom in Tasmania’s premiere of The Phantom of The Opera in 2013. This year, he played Jean Valjean, in Encore Theatre Company’s, production of Les Misérables in Launceston.
