House Debating starts soon
Students responded positively to the Tasmanian Debating Union鈥檚 Southern Schools鈥 competition and performed with credit. We will now hold a Year 7 and 8 House-based competition this term.
Team鈥檚 of four students will debate topics relating to College life, social issues, and popular culture. The competition is open to all Year 7 and 8 students and workshops will be held next week for students who may be new to debating.
The competition was launched in last week鈥檚 Year 7-10 assembly with an exhibition debate. The topic was 鈥淭hat Superman is better than Batman鈥, and the audience vote clearly went in favour of Batman!
If you or your child has been thinking about debating, this is a great opportunity to get involved and see what it鈥檚 all about!
