It has been communicated a number of times that É«ÇéÖ±²¥ cannot support nor approve the taking of holidays during term time. This is a legal mandate in the 2016 Education Act and has been put in place to ensure that sound academic progress can take place with students being present at school in all classes.
Schools have a legal responsibility to maintain accurate records of student attendance and as such, any holiday leave that is applied for will be recorded as unapproved.
We ask that you plan carefully in advance to schedule holidays during term breaks and have included calendar dates for 2020 to support you in your planning.
From time to time there will be students who are involved with interstate competitions or extraordinary circumstances that may warrant the need to take more than three days leave.
Applications for such leave can be lodged to me via the leave request form which can be obtained in the K-6 and 7-10 Offices. Once an application for leave has been received, you will receive either an email response or a formal letter from the Deputy Principal’s office informing you of the status of the application.
We thank you for your continued support and understanding. The Calendar dates for 2020 are:
Term 1: Friday 31 January - Thursday 9 April
- Prep to Year 10 commence on Friday 31 January
- Kinder timita on Monday 3 February
