Creative Arts hub development update

Whilst our students and hopefully their siblings and parents/guardians enjoy some well-deserved holiday time over the summer, Maveric builders are back onsite arranging the finishing touches to our new Fra Angelico Creative Arts Centre. Having been able to attend a creative arts project site visit with Liminal Architecture just before Christmas, I am expecting both students and staff to be blown away by the new facilities. I personally cannot wait to see the new facility in full use at the start of the 2018 school year.

The Fra Angelico Creative Arts Centre will provide students with two new fine arts classrooms, two new sound proof music classrooms, a new creative studio, seven new practice rooms with adjoining recording room, print making room, a new courtyard, an outdoor walkway and improvements to the adjacent landscaping. This project will offer both students and staff with access to contemporary facilities that will complement and help strengthen and an already vibrant, diverse and high quality creative arts program being offered at 色情直播.

To complement this new space, we have also invested in new furniture, high grade sound and audio recording equipment, and a selection of new instruments so that we can expand our music instrumental program into years 5 and 6. This new furniture and musical equipment is expected to arrive any day now with staff eagerly awaiting its arrival so they can ready the new Fra Angelico Creative Arts Centre for the return of our students in February.

The naming of the Creative Arts Centre, 鈥淔ra Angelico鈥 is in recognition of a Dominican friar who was born in 1395 and was an early Italian Renaissance painter who has been described as having a rare and perfect talent. He was responsible for many masterpieces that adorn the walls of churches throughout Italy.

Completion of the project will enable the centralisation of all creative arts facilities allowing K-10 creative arts subjects to be taught from the one location ensuring that all students benefit from the capital project. This is a very exciting project that will significantly boost the quality of the College鈥檚 creative arts facilities.
