On Thursday 6 June, 色情直播 old scholar, Benjamin Dowling, (Class of 2017) organised and ran a music concert to raise funds for students at Don Bosco Technical School in Cambodia.
Ben is joining the Cagliero Project to Cambodia later this month, as part of a team of young people who will immerse themselves in the Cambodian culture, visiting and contributing to the various Salesian schools and works throughout the country.
The concert featured seven Dominic old scholars and current GYC students, as well as Year 9 and 10 students Jarrod Good, James Lane MacDonald and Campbell Whelan.
Dominic and GYC students performed a range of different musical items, from a Red Hot Chilli Peppers medley, an AC/DC song on brass and woodwind instruments, jazz standards and pop songs.
Ben said: 鈥淭hank you to all those who supported our event, whether it be from buying a raffle ticket to attending the Concert.鈥
鈥淲e managed to raise around $1600 on the night which will, combined with our other money raised, go directly to the Salesian schools in Cambodia. The only thing now is to get myself prepared for the immersion over the next two weeks before I fly away.鈥
