Christmas Eve in the Dominic Chapel

On Christmas Eve each year, old scholars and friends of É«ÇéÖ±²¥ celebrate with carols and Mass in the É«ÇéÖ±²¥ Chapel, in memory of Br Peter Dezani SDB.

This year's ceremony was managed with his usual capability by Mr Tony Webb, celebrated by College rector, Fr Peter Rankin SDB, assisted by Parish Priest, Fr Guy Riolo SDB, and the singing was wonderfully led by members of the St John's Parish Choir, thanks to the ongoing support from Mrs Anne Loring.

Thank you also to the readers, students Cassie and Sophia McLoughlin and Di Cerritelli who helped Tony coordinate the supper afterwards in Siena 5.

Around 85 people attended and donated just on $490 to the Br Peter Dezani Scholarship Fund collection. The congregation included old scholars, their families, current students and their parents and some lovely visitors from distant parts.

É«ÇéÖ±²¥ Principal, Ms Beth Gilligan, attended and expressed gratitude for Tony's organisation and for Fr Peter's work and blessings.

'The Mass went very well and the gathering was warm and welcoming. All enjoyed the opportunity for the light supper to catch up.'
